Frequently Asked Questions

1)  How can I speak with a lawyer about my legal problem?

Call (802) 349-1675 for an initial consultation, or call (802) 388-4026 if you are an existing client between 9:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. to set up a time for you to meet with an attorney in our offices. Sometimes an attorney will travel to meet you if you are incapable of coming in due to extremely poor health or a disability.

When you call, you will be asked for your name, the names of other people involved, and other basic information and background on your legal issue. With this information, we can check for conflicts and our lawyers can be better prepared to answer your questions when you meet with them.

Please call 802-349-1675 or contact us online to schedule an appointment at our office in Middlebury. We also offer remote meetings through Zoom or telephone.

2)  What are your fees?

Please call us at (802) 349-1675 or (802) 388-4026 if you are an existing client between 9:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. After discussing the nature of your legal issue, our attorneys can give you a general idea of the anticipated fee. However, each attorney will review your circumstances and case at the initial meeting, and give you a closer approximation or flat fee for the work that needs to be done. We accept personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Diner’s Club, JCB, Union Pay, most Debit cards and ACH transfers.

3)  Can I call after or before business hours to reach my attorney

Yes, you can. Our offices have a voice message phone answering system that rings to the attorney’s desk and allows you to leave a voice message for any individual in either firm after hours.

4)  Is your office handicapped accessible?

Yes! Our Middlebury building features a wheelchair ramp and an accessible conference room on the ground floor.
