Do I have to go to my lawyer’s office to sign my Will? Can I sign it remotely from home?
Yes! There is good news since our last blog post. Governor Scott signed a new law on April 28th that allows Vermont residents to sign their wills remotely using video conference technology. This law expires when the Emergency Authorization for Remote Notarization expires. We will let you know when that happens on our blog page.
Meanwhile, lawyers from our firm can meet with you over the telephone or by video conference to discuss what you want in your Will and your estate planning options. We can send a draft to you by email or mail. We can also walk you through how to download and use the video conferencing technology. The video conferencing technology is free!
We are sensitive to the importance of getting your Will and estate plans done quickly.
